Personal Data Protection
Your data stays under your control.
Sparkoper designs its services around data minimisation, clear purposes and client control.
We only process personal data when it is necessary to operate our services, respond to a request, support a project or meet a legal obligation.
Who controls the data?
For data collected through this website or in our direct business relationships, Sparkoper acts as data controller.
When Sparkoper processes personal data on behalf of a water utility or another client, the client remains the data controller and Sparkoper acts as data processor under the agreed instructions.
- Data controller: Sparkoper SAS, 58 rue de Monceau, 75008 Paris, France
What we process
Depending on the service, personal data may include:
- contact and professional information;
- user account and access information;
- operational data contained in requests, work orders or reports;
- information voluntarily submitted through forms, messages or attachments.
We aim to collect only what is needed for the task.
How we use it
Personal data is used only for defined purposes, such as:
- providing and securing the Sparkoper platform;
- managing user access;
- processing requests and maintenance activities;
- producing operational reports and analytics;
- providing support and training;
- responding to enquiries and contractual obligations.
Each use relies on a legal basis: the performance of a contract, our legitimate interest in running, securing and developing our services and business relationships, a legal obligation, or your consent where it is required.
Analytics and models
Most Sparkoper analytics rely on rules, calculations, KPIs and statistical methods.
Where a model is used for a defined task — for example sentiment analysis, classification or recommendations — its use remains subject to the same data-governance rules, access restrictions and client requirements.
The choice of model can change. The governance does not.
Hosting, access and security
Sparkoper is designed to support different hosting requirements, including client-controlled and local environments.
Access to personal data is limited to authorised users and services according to their role and purpose.
We apply technical and organisational measures designed to protect data against unauthorised access, alteration, loss or disclosure.
If personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Retention and portability
Personal data is kept only for as long as required by its purpose, the client contract or applicable law.
Operational data remains exportable. At the end of a contract, data can be returned or deleted according to the agreed instructions and legal obligations.

Your rights
Depending on applicable law, individuals may have the right to access, correct, restrict, object to or request deletion or portability of their personal data.
Requests concerning data processed for one of our clients should normally be addressed to that organisation as data controller.
